The teddy girls enjoying Allen & page Pygmy goat mix with graze on mixed in – seems to be a hit π a nice muesli style mix with added fruit and vegetables but molasses free (unlike some coarse goat mixes) we gave it a try as usual food was unavailable. Piggies seem to be giving it the nod of approval. I have mixed it with some graze-on dried grass for extra tastiness π I have 14 sows in my sow pen at moment so the bowl is quite big π
Composition:
Barley, Peas, Nutritionally Improved Straw, Linseed, Maize, Wheat Feed, Beans, Oats, Alfalfa, Calcium Carbonate, Expelled Soya Oil, Grass Meal, Salt, Carrot, Apple, Mint, Yeast, Pineapple, Di-Calcium Phosphate, Fenugreek
This is a green powdered food that is mixed with water and can be used to syringe feed Guinea pigs that aren’t eating on their own or to support pigs that are recovering from an operation or illness but may not yet be eating enough on their own. It contains all the nutrients the animal needs including some pre and probiotics.
It’s vitally important Guinea pigs keep eating as if they stop their guts can stop working – gut stasis – which is often fatal. A vital product to have in the cupboard as guinea pigs hide illness well and sometimes one of first signs is they go off their food. This can help keep them going until you can get them to a vet π
